Christmas Decorations at GFTP.  Caroline and Pete travelled to Lauscha in East Germany to pick up some glass for flame worked beads.   Whilst there they were introduced to Michael Haberland.  He had been asked to clean out his mothers shed not long after the dismantling of the Berlin Wall.  In the shed he found his grandfathers moulds which had been used to  hand blow Christmas decorations in the Edwardian era.   Michael taught himself to work in the flame and his wife now hand colours the ornaments.  Together they have recreated many of the designs that were available to our parents and their parents before them.  Caroline and Pete could not resist buying some of these ornaments and bringing them back to be enjoyed by the UK again.
